Rigging Projects is looking for an experienced rigger to join our team! Founded in 2013, Rigging Projects design, manufacture and deliver bespoke rigging and custom parts for the superyacht and the race yacht industry. We have recently expanded and moved to our brand new headquarters in Southampton, UK, which houses our world class machining facilities.

With the ever growing product offerings, we’re also looking to bolster our service teams, based in Holland, Spain, UK and USA. The role is varied and requires the successful candidate to travel globally. Ideally based in Holland, Spain or UK but all locations considered.

The role includes but not limited to the following:

  • Leading onsite teams in dressing, stepping, tuning and sea trialling spars
  • Managing and organising onsite service projects
  • Managing communications with clients
  • Concise reporting on services
  • Communicating with the Rigging Projects design team

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven track record in yacht rigging
  • Have a proficient level of IT skills.
  • Basic CAD skills (read only)
  • Good communication skills. Being able to communicate with different team members onsite and between offices.
  • Great attention to detail.

Junior CAD Engineer

Rigging Projects is looking for a Junior CAD Engineer to join the growing design team in Totton, UK. Founded in 2013, Rigging Projects design, manufacture and assemble bespoke rigging and custom parts for the superyacht and race yacht industry. We have recently expanded and moved to our brand new headquarters which houses our world class machining facilities.


Reporting to the Head of Design on a daily basis the role includes but not limited to the following:


• Creating and updating 3D models in Solidworks for new and existing parts.
• Take ownership of drafting and uploading drawings to the company library for production.
• Provide support to design team with testing, product development and prototyping.
• Involved in design discussions and reviews.
• Adhere to project and design processes.


Qualifications and Skills:


• Degree qualified in Product/Industrial Design or similar.
• At least two years working in a design office with drafting experience.
• Previous Solidworks experience is a must, used on a daily basis in previous role. Solidworks certification would be a bonus.
• Experience designing machined parts would be beneficial.
• Experience of geometric tolerancing.
• Have a proficient level of IT skills.
• Ability to work on a number of projects at one time and meet tight deadlines.
• Good communication skills. Being able to communicate with different team members onsite and between offices.
• Great attention to detail.
• Knowledge of 3D printing and prototyping methods.
• Any experience with 3D rendering with Rhino would be advantageous but not required.

CNC MILLER

 Totton / Southampton

£16-18 per hour plus potential overtime available

We are looking to add to an already experienced and successful team. We provide a design and manufacture service providing small batch products for the Superyacht and Race yacht industry. 

The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to expand their knowledge and expertise through training courses for career development as part of their role, including but not limited to Autodesk Fusion 360. 

We currently have a vacancy for a machinist to run a CNC Milling machine with Siemens ShopMill. 

This role involves programming (conversational at the machine and/or off line using Fusion 360), setting and operating.

The right candidate will be able to work under their own initiative after a period of settling in.

Experience of Fusion 360 (or other CAD software) is a bonus but not essential.

This is a very interesting role for the right person. 

Responsibilities:

To manufacture components within tolerances specified on drawings

To program the CNC machines from drawings provided

To set up tooling and stock for the job in hand

To monitor machines performance and assess for any maintenance requirements

To keep the machines in a clean and tidy condition

To work as part of a team to get jobs done when required

To record and report time spent on jobs

Skills:

Technical Drawing ability a bonus

Diligent, hardworking individual with good attention to detail

Minimum of two years CNC machining
